Our Performance
Since
our inception over thirty years ago, W. M. Beaty & Associates,
Inc. has successfully harvested more than one billion board feet
of timber for our clients, primarily using a sustainable
individual tree selection silvicultural system. By leaving the
best trees to grow the standing timber volume on these
forestlands has doubled since WBA undertook their management.
We harvest using environmentally and aesthetically friendly
methods that leave healthy trees, well stocked and well spaced
so that the residual stand’s growth is optimized. Where
openings in the forest canopy are necessary to establish young
trees that need full sunlight to grow, we carefully consider all
the factors associated with the most appropriate harvesting
techniques. Maintaining healthy and functioning ecosystems
is the key to sustainable forestry. Our performance can be
seen in forests we manage throughout northeastern California,
and in the satisfaction of our clients.
